Dance Options at Home!

Updated: Aug 25, 2023

Today I decided to combine a list of some of the great dance options that are available online, so that you can dance at home. Dance is a great way to boost your endorphins, release some energy, and is a fun activity to do during this quarantine time. Fortunately, there have been so many options from YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook through livestreams and online, which have been a huge help. Another great thing about most of these dance classes is that they are confined to a limited space, so that you can dance at home in your kitchen, living room, etc. I've compiled some of my favourites, as well as a few others that I haven't tried yet. Let me know if there are any other online dance classes that I should add to this list or that you enjoy dancing to as well. Thanks for reading and keep on dancing! Enjoy :)

BALLET

1. Tiler Peck- Principal dancer with the New York City Ballet

For the past week, Tiler has been doing livestream ballet classes Monday-Friday mornings at 10amPST-1EST on Instagram. These classes are great as I found them similar to classes I usually take and she modifies them for those who are beginners, intermediate, and advanced. It also takes up little space and she starts off with barre, then some centre, and a bit of pointe at the end for those who are currently on pointe. These classes are available to watch @tilerpeck (Instagram) and she recently did a short ballet class for Playbill, which I will link to below: playbill.com
