Baked Apples with a Cinnamon Oatmeal Filling!

Who loves fall? A lot of people do, actually this one is kind of a semi-favourite season for me since I always love the beginning of it but at the same time its also when school starts. However, I assume that will change with time as I get older and I guess I'd be working all year round then. Hmm... I'm not actually sure that's any better oh well haha. On the plus side, it's also the time of my birthday which is nice and it also means its closer to Christmas, my all-time favourite time of the year. But then again it's also really cold hmm... Sorry, I got a bit distracted about fall, please excuse my ramble haha. Anyways, onto the recipe review!

So since it's fall I decided to make these delicious Baked Apples with a Cinnamon Oatmeal Filling, as I've seen so many people make it over the past few years and I keep saying I'll make it one day, so I did! It turned out way better than I imagined because for some reason I thought it would turn out looking like a squished up miniature pumpkin but it turned out so much better. Also by baking the apples it brought out the apple and cinnamon flavour. It also tasted like a miniature apple streusel haha. As for recommendations or alterations, I would recommend using an apple corer and then scooping out more out of the sides of the apple to fit more filling in the middle with the corer or a small perry knife. I would also highly recommend putting the tin foil/aluminum foil on the baking sheet, as this will ensure that the apples stay soft and keep in their flavour, rather than drying out. Overall, this recipe was delicious and I would highly recommend giving it a try. Also, if you want to add something special feel free to make your own caramel sauce drizzled on top and/or whipped cream and/or vanilla ice cream and a dash of cinnamon. Happy Baking! :)
