Vegan Tahini Cookies!

Writer's picture: Lauren TangLauren Tang

Today I decided to make a new cookie flavour that I haven't tried before. Namely, these Vegan Tahini Cookies rolled in sesame seeds! Originally, these cookies were gluten-free, but not vegan, but I thought 'hey, why not take it the extra mile?' and make them vegan as well.

In order to do this, all I had to substitute was to use one flax meal 'egg' in a ratio of 1 tbsp of flax seed meal/ground flax seed and 3 tbsp of water and let it sit for 5 minutes. Also, since I didn't have white sesame seeds, I used black sesame seeds to roll out the cookies.

For those of you out there who are health-conscious these cookies are just what you've been looking for, as they're also dairy-free, gluten-free, and low-carb. Overall, this recipe turned out really well and I hope you enjoyed this review! Happy baking and feel free to let me know what recipes you'd like to see me review next :)
