Today I decided to make these delicious and healthy Oatmeal Banana Date Bars! They are a great power snack or healthy dessert option and will provide you with plenty of energy for your next workout or to power through a long day of work! This recipe turned out really well and was a delicious alternative compared to conventional granola bars and with much less sugar! You can also add in your favourite fix ins such as coconut flakes, cacao nibs, nuts, dried cranberries, etc. to spice it up. It tastes similar to a baked oatmeal but I promise you it tastes way better than that sounds haha. I used a square tray to make these, however, you could also make them in a square panned then cut them up into squares afterwards. You could also make a glaze to go on top of it if you'd like. For the pan you can either use butter, margarine, coconut oil, canola oil, etc. to butter up the pan to ensure that the mixture doesn't stick to the pan. However, this recipe is pretty good about that issue and I didn't find that it stuck much to the pan. Also, I promise it tastes way better than it looks haha. Overall, this recipe turned out pretty well and is a great alternative to granola bars! Happy Baking!
P.S. I promise I'll try to post more often soon. It's funny how you always think you'd be able to have more time in the summertime do your hobbies but surprisingly I always find I end up filing my time with seeing relatives or friends or summer activities. Go figure. Anyways, hope you enjoy this recipe review :)
