Today I decided to make these delicious Double Chocolate Muffins! The double chocolate comes from the fact that I included both chocolate chips and cocoa powder to create a delicious muffin combination! In terms of modifications, I was really happy with how it turned out and there were very few I need to make.
One modification that you could make would be, to change the type of chocolate chips you use, for instance, you could add butterscotch or white chocolate chips for a different flavour. In addition, I used best brown sugar rather than light brown sugar and it worked out just as well.
The main difference between these brown sugars is just the amount of molasses they add to the sugar, hence, the shade of colour and texture (the more molasses that's added, the softer/stickier the sugar is when packed). The recipe was quite precise in terms of making exactly 12 regular sized muffins and in baking time. Overall, this recipe turned out really well and I hope you enjoyed this review! Happy baking :)
