My Favourite Dance YouTube Accounts!

There are so many YouTube accounts out there today that provide a ton of information about dance whether it's about how to prepare your pointe shoes, flexibility, or just watching dance videos. Here I have compiled a list of my favourite dance YouTube accounts along with one of my favourite videos from each of the YouTubers! Enjoy!

1. Clarissa May


Clarissa May has two main YouTube accounts under Clarissa May and Live On Pointe. I love both of these YouTube channels, as she has so many tips on how to become more flexible, have better turns, and videos of her dancing. She is a really inspirational dancer and you should definitely check out her YouTube channels. She also has a website which I'll add below!

2. Sophia Lucia


Sophia Lucia is a famous dancer who has been on Dance Moms, Dancing with the Stars, America's Got Talent, Kirby Buckets, and so much more! On her YouTube account you can see videos following her day to day life as well as her many solos from competitions, which will help to inspire many dancers! Be sure to check out her YouTube channel in the link below. My favourite video that she has posted is her solo, Canon in D Major!

3. Chloe Lukasiak


Chloe Lukasiak is an extremely talented dancer who has starred on the TV show, "Dance Moms", as well as many music videos including "Fool Me Once" by Jess Goodwin. She also shows many of her competition dances and day-to-day life as a dancer, and her multiple visits to places like England, Scotland, etc. Be sure to check out her YouTube Channel and I've also listed below one of my favourite videos by Chloe is a dance mash-up of all her recent solos!












4. Paige Hyland


Paige Hyland is also a former talented dancer of the TV show, "Dance Moms", and recently she has made a YouTube channel, which happens to be one of my favourites. On her YouTube channel she shows her day-to-day life, and talks about her past experiences such as Award Shows with her friends and family who have also been on "Dance Moms". Check out her YouTube channel below and one of my favourite videos by Paige is Sister Tag with Paige and Brooke Hyland.

5. KBMTALENT


KBMTALENT is a YouTube account run by Krista Miller and her daughter Autumn Miller. You may have heard of them as Krista Miller owns a famous dance studio in California, called Mather Dance Company. Where her daughter Autumn dances and is a very well-known and talented dancer. On their YouTube channel they show tips and tricks for dance such as how to do an aerial, advanced turns, pitches, etc. One of my favourite videos that they have done is about Calypso jumps, and was actually how I learned how to do them, along with Fouettes!

6. Royal Opera House


The Royal Opera House is run by the same ballet company as the Royal Opera House Ballet. On there they have many helpful and interesting videos about being a ballerina and so much more. They have videos on how pointe shoes are made, life of a ballerina, and more! Be sure to check out their channel and below I've added a video about the day in the life of a ballerina!

7. Teen Vogue


You'd be surprised but one of the many series on Teen Vogue's YouTube Channel is called, "Strictly Ballet". It's a really cool YouTube mini series, that follows a series of ballet dancers from Australia to New York City, who try to become professional ballet dancers. It's a terrific YouTube Channel to inspire young dancers be sure to watch it, and below I've added the first episode of "Strictly Ballet" called "What It Takes To Be a Star".

8. Pacific Northwest Ballet


This is one of my favourite channels as they show you the process of how professionals practice and eventually perform the famous and flawless ballets you see onstage. Many of these including Swan Lake, Aurora, Don Quixote, and more! Below I've added one of their videos about the rehearsal of the Pas de Quatre from Swan Lake.

9. Miko Fogarty


Miko Fogarty is a famous ballerina from the documentary, "First Position". On her channel she shows many videos of her past and present dances at competitions including the YAGP, Prix de Lausanne, IBC, and more! Be sure to check out Miko's channel and the video of her performing the Esmeralda variation below!

10. PrixdeLausanne


The Prix de Lausanne YouTube Channel is based off the international ballet competition Prix de Lausanne. This channel has live streaming every year of the competition, as well as specific videos of the performances during the competition. You should definitely check out the channel and the video below where Miko Fogarty does Paquita 2 Variation.
