Catching Up with Dance News!

Recently, there's been a ton of activity going on in the Dance World, so I thought I'd bring some of the inspiring and interesting articles, videos, and news to you, as it is Dance News BC :) Hope that you're all excited and ready for the Festival/Dance Competition Season ahead of us, so I thought I'd bring to you some inspring dance videos along your way! I hope that you enjoy these and if you have any other new dance news don't be afraid to let me know in the comment section below! Enjoy :)



For starters there was Maddie Ziegler's new Capezio campaign called #DanceInYou that was released about a week ago:


Along the same lines came Misty Copeland's: The Art of Dance exhibiting some of Edgar Degas' most famous ballet works at New York's Museum of Modern Art with Harper's BAZAAR:

As for an inspiring article for the dancers out there graduating from high school this year, I came across this article called "To The Dancer That Walked Away" written by The Odyssey Online:



While looking at the article above, I also discovered another article by The Odyssey Online called, "To The Dance Studio That Taught Me More Than Dance Lessons":



Now back to the videos, I found this beautiful duet on YouTube called "The Path" performed by the one and only, Sophia Lucia and her outstanding dance partner, Jack Beckham from the Master Ballet Academy:


There was also the news of YouTube's Red Channel, which featured an original movie called, "Dance Camp", with Jordyn Jones, released this week:

Along with all of this great news came the news of The National Ballet of Canada's 65th anniversary season, check out the article below to find out more information on their performances for 2016-2017:




And of course, there's Lifetime's new special for "Dance Moms" with the new YouTube Channel starring all of the girls on "Dance Moms: The Girls' Guide to Life", check out the video below:
