These lovely tiramisu cupcakes will give you both your caffeine and sugar intake for the day! In these bite sized mini cupcakes there's nothing to stand in your way! In the original recipe it calls for 24 regular sized cupcakes however I always feel that mini cupcakes are cute and adorable to make so I made 12 mini cupcakes! To make these cupcakes you'll need a plain vanilla cupcake recipe like in my previous post. Then you'll need to poke holes in the tops of each cupcake with a fork once the cupcakes have cooled. Afterwards you'll make 1 cup (portion it to how many cupcakes you've made and account the size of them) of black coffee. You're next step will be to use a spoon or a brush to insert the coffee flavour into each coffee. You'll need to do this 2-3 times to ensure the coffee flavour has sinked in. Then you'll need to make your frosting by first beating your cream cheese in your standard mixer. Then you'll need to whip your cream until soft peaks form, but don't overmix otherwise you'll make butter. (Tip: If you didn't already know you can make butter by whipping cream in your mixer) Then gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese and put your frosting into either a ziplock bag or a piping bag or simply use a spoon to put it on top of each cupcake. Then for a finishing touch you can use a sifter to sift cocoa powder over top of the cupcakes. In the original recipe they used milk chocolate curls whcih you can easily do with either a knife or a grater, but since I had some leftover white chocolate. I broke up the white chocolate into small pieces and put them on top of each cupcake. The result? Was amazing a definite decadent treat for everyone to test out! Try these unique cupcakes today! Also happy belated Italian day! I did originally intend to post this yesterday but ran out of time, so I hope that you enjoy these cupcakes a day late :)
