In celebration of my 100th post here is a delicious recipe for homemade reese's peanut butter cups! These decadent and delicious treats are none other than homemade Reese's peanut butter cups! So easy to make that you'll be making these homemade from now on! My friend and I made these the other day and they turned out amazing! All you need is chocolate and peanut butter and you'll have it in a snap! First you melt milk chocolate and you can melt it in either a double boiler or in the microwave. We ended up using half of each to get the chocolate to begin to melt and we used the microwave but for the other half we used the double boiler where you put a glass bowl on top of a pot of boiling water on the stove! The advantages of using the microwave is that it's a preset time and is easy to use. Although, the downside being that the chocolate will begin to burn after a certain amount of time and will go beyond the melting point. With the double boiler you will definitely need a spatula or a wooden spoon along with oven mits to make sure that the pot doesn't move! After the chocolate has melted you can then begin to spread the chocolate inside your cupcake tins in a muffin tray, we used mini ones but regular sized ones work too! Then comes the peanut butter! In the recipe they used peanut butter mixed with sugar but since the recipe is already very sugary, we decided to use only peanut butter instead. Then after putting in the peanut butter you finish it off by adding chocolate on top of each cup and then into the fridge it goes to solidify! And voila you have your very own peanut butter cups!
