This vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream frosting roses are adorable and a lot easier to make than you would think! I made this cake originally for Mother's Day and my mom loved it! To make the frosting different colours all i needed was to use 5 separate containers for the colours of the icing! All i needed was to dip a toothpick in the gel food colour i wanted and then swirl it around in the icing. Then once I was done I put each of the colours in an icing bag with a piping bag tip. For the leaves I had to use a different tip and to make 16 roses it only took me about 30-40min, so it is definitely doable if you are short on time! As for the triming it took about 3-5min and the leaves took about 5min, and the lettering took 3 min! Be sure to practice the lettering on parchment paper before actually icing it on the cake! Also make sure to do a crumb icing layer and then to put it in the fridge for about 2 hours and then take it out again to ice another 2 layers before putting on the other icing decorations!
