The Perfect Pumpkin Pie!

Who loves pumpkin pie? (*All hands raised) haha ya it's an awesome pie, but have you ever thought, "Hey, how can I make this at home?" Because while it's awesome to buy it and all, sometimes all you really want is to have a pie made by you, so that you can know it's made with fresh ingredients, and you have another skill under your belt. This is one of my favourite recipes of all time, as the consistency works out every single time. Which is saying a lot since I usually make this recipe at least twice a year for about six years now! Wow, I feel old now, haha. But that just goes to show you that once you have a good recipe, you'll never go back, and anytime someone asks you if you know how to make it you can! Yay! To be honest, I never thought I'd be able to make it this far, but now that I am it's amazing! It's a great way to share my love for baking with all of you out there who want to learn to bake or have a passion for baking as well :) Also, this recipe is the same one that I used for the pumpkin tarts, and works out just as well. As an extra tip, when baking pies or any baked goods, try to use a wooden toothpick, as they are more consistent to test the readiness of the baked good that you are making, because I found that sometimes when I used a metal toothpick, it would stick no matter what I did or how long I baked it. So, to play on the safe side and to not over-bake your baked goods, use a wooden toothpick. As for the crust, I have made homemade crust and pre-made crusts before, and proportionate to the amount of time you have especially during busy holidays like Christmas and Thanksgiving. I would recommend that you buy a pre-made shell, unless you already have a really good recipe, or you only like homemade crusts, or you know how to make them really well, because the pre-made crusts save a lot of time, and the real winner is the pumpkin portion of the pie after all. Overall, this recipe is one of my favourites and I hope that you enjoy it too, happy baking!
