Who loves apples and even more apple crisp? Well, I'm sure most of you are probably wondering what you should make for a fall or winter dessert, and this recipe for apple crisp will be your absolute favourite! It's so delicious, that it's practically perfect! Super easy to make and even better to eat! The perfect combination of apples, spices, and of course the fan favourite- crumble top! For this recipe the only modifications I made were by using gala apples instead of granny smith apples, simply because I didn't have any, and I still really wanted to make this recipe, and the other being the time I put it in the oven for. Rather than using it for 30min I put it in for 35min to make the top crisper, depends on whether or not you like your apple crisp soft or crisp. But generally, a crisper crumble top is preferred amongst my friends and family :) This recipe is delicious with whipped cream and/or vanilla ice cream, or perfect on its own. As for the pan, I used a silicon square pan so that I wouldn't have to grease the pan, and it turned it awesome! I would definitely recommend following the directions for the crisp top because by putting the crisp portion in the fridge during preparation for the apples, it allows the butter to slowly melt in the oven. I also peeled and cut the apples lengthwise into strips that were about 1/4inch thick. Overall, this recipe was super delicious and I would definitely make it again because I had so many positive reviews, so make sure to check it out. Happy Baking!
