Who loves berries and mini desserts? Pretty much everyone, am I right? So cute and delicious you'll be stuck between wanting to eat them and waning to take a million pictures of them! For this recipe, I altered it a bit and used pre-made tart shells rather than making them from scratch due to time constraints but the recipe below does include a recipe for the tart shell if you want to try it out. For the berries I used a berry glaze, which comes in different packs I used the blueberry glaze. For the custard/cream I followed the recipe and although it says that it only makes 13-14 tarts, I found it could make approximately 35-40 mini tarts, if you use the mini tarts that I used. Make sure to pre-bake the tart shells if you do decide to use pre-bought ones, and let the shells cool fully before filling them with cream. Fill the tarts approximately 2/3 or 3/4 full of cream, so as to make sure there's still room for the berries on top. For appearance I used a base layer of the blueberries in a glaze and then put blueberries without the glaze on top, to give it a more picturesque look. The one great part about the glaze is that it adds the extra little kick that adds to the whole tart :) For decoration purposes you can play around a bit with it and use any berry combination you like such as blackberries, strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, etc. I used a little balloon decoration for a few of the tarts, as I made them for a birthday dessert for a friend, which is the great part about this dessert, it isn't too hard to make it look festive! Overall, this was a great recipe and you should definitely try it out soon! Perfect for summer BBQ's, picnics, and more!
