Honey Apple Cakelets/Bundt Cakes!

Lauren Tang

Today I decided to bake Honey Apple Cakelets or Mini Bundt Cakes. This depends on the type of pan you use for batter. I ended up being able to make 7 mini cakelets. However, I could have probably split it into 10-11 mini cakes instead, since the cakes ended up looking like giant cupcakes once finished instead haha, oh well. To compensate for this I could have also trimmed the top off and cut them straight with a knife but since they were fairly round I left them as is. I did end up making the glaze in the recipe but I didn't end up putting them on for the picture, as I wasn't ready to serve them all at once yet. I didnt have any slivered almonds as per the suggestion fo the recipe but they still turned out pretty well. The glaze was a bit thin so I would recommend suing a bit more powdered sugar depending on how thick or thin you like the glaze on top. For the apples I ended up using 4 small apples with 3 other being gala apples and 1 red delicious. I kept the peel on as I forgot to peel them haha, luckily this didn't affect the overall taste negatively. he pans I used included 5 mini bundt pans, 1 heart shaped one (as I made one for a couple who is getting married soon), and 1 mini pie shaped pan. However, you can use a variety of pan shapes and sizes. Overall, this recipe turned out pretty well and nextt time I would probably use less batter.
