YES!!! The post you have been waiting for the wonderful, the amazing, the PERFECT PUMPKIN PECAN PIE!!!!!!! Okay, so that was a bit extra but I was so excited to make this recipe because over the years it's always been a debate in my family as to whether we should make a pecan pie or a pumpkin pie, as both are favourites and classics. But with this amazing recipe you no longer have to choose, as you can have 2 in 1! How amazing is that?? Okay, so it's not super mind blowing but it is pretty cool and it's awesome to see the two layers and be surprised. Do not be deceived the pumpkin layer is beneath the pecan layer, hence why it is hidden in the photo down below. As for alterations, I think you could add more pecans as it was a tad sparse on top and I do think there is probably a better version of this recipe out there but it was the closest one I could find that combined these two elements. However, if you find an awesome recipe that combines these two classics, please send it along and I'll make sure to check it out :) Overall, this recipe turned out really well and there was some extra batter left over, so I had enough to make a few extra tarts, as I didn't buy the deep pie dish but it's always nice to have little versions, like tiny pies aha, well I guess that is technically what a tart is, right?
