Today I decided to make these awesome Oatmeal Banana Walnut Chocolate Chip Cookies! I made these, partially because my family friend/neighbour loves cookies and also to use up some of the leftover bananas in the house. For the main alterations, I used best brown sugar rather than light-brown sugar and quick oats rather than rolled oats, since I couldn’t find the ones I had in the cupboard. As for the chocolate, I used chocolate chips rather than chocolate chunks or a chocolate bar chopped into chunks, and I also didn’t have a chance to roast the walnuts but they still turned out great. This recipe made about 21 large to regular-sized cookies and I used a measuring cup about ½ cup to size it but you could also use an ice cream scoop as well. It took about 14min in the oven and I used silicon baking sheets, which are great for cleaning and re-purposing if you bake a lot. Overall, these cookies turned out great and I hope you enjoyed this review! Also, recently I bought this cool cupcake stand that is super compact and durable made by Sweet Tooth Fairy at Bulk Barn, which comes in three colours: white, blue, or pink. As you can see below, I bought the pink one but I was so impressed by it, especially since it was only about $30. As I’m always looking for ways to spice up the images for Instagram @bakingwithlauren haha. Have fun baking!
