Today I decided to make this delicious Cinnamon Apple Cake! This recipe turned out really well and I would definitely make it again, as it was really easy to make! In terms of alterations, I used 3 small apples, as I didn’t have any regular sized apples. This worked out fairly well, however, I did end up having a few leftover apple slices once I was finished layering the apples on the cake. I also used Pam cooking spray, but you could also use melted butter or margarine instead. Also, since I didn’t have coarse sugar, instead I used regular sugar sprinkled on top. However, you could also use brown sugar or drizzle a simple icing sugar on top after the cake has cooled. You could do this using about 2 cups of icing sugar, 2-3 tbsps of milk, and 1tsp of vanilla mixed together. From there, you could put the icing in a piping bag or a ziplock bag and cut the tip of one side of the bag to drizzle the icing on top. Also, I ended up using my Kitchenaid Mixer to mix together the butter and sugars. The cake took exactly 1hr to bake and was super easy to take out, which was fantastic! Since sometimes, certain recipes can be difficult to take out the cake. You could also sprinkle some roasted slivered almonds on top, if you wanted to add something special. Also, thank you to my friend Emily for the beautiful cake stand, as seen in the photo below. I hope that you all enjoyed this review and happy baking :)
