Today I decided to make my neighbour Terry's recipe for Melting Moments for her birthday. It's been a little over a year since she's passed, but I couldn't let her birthday go by without making her Melting Moments. Last year, I made a post of this delicious Christmas cookies, but I couldn't resist making a dessert to celebrate. I decided to use a flower from the garden to add some colour, as pink was one of her favourite colours, and she used to buy me flowers all the time at the end of my ballet recitals. I also made a video to remember how to make them this time around. Even though the recipe is fairly simply, it can almost trick you into thinking it would be more difficult than it is. The recipe is only three simple ingredients: icing sugar, flour, and butter. Usually these cookies are made during Christmas, but during this quarantine who even knows what time of year it is? Fortunately, it has started to brighten up lately with lots of sunshine and I'll be making an Easter dessert soon, as Easter weekend is this Sunday! Anyways, I hope that you enjoy this quick little recap even though I typically try to make a unique dessert every post. Happy baking :)
