Today I decided to make a new twist on banana desserts and make these delicious Baked Banana Chocolate Dipped Mini Donuts! Perfect for a quick and simple dessert that will satisfy your decadent needs for teatime or with a glass of milk. To make these donuts, it was fairly simple and only modifications I made include using best brown sugar instead of light brown sugar.
Along with adding 1/4 tsp of lemon juice to the 2 tbsps of 2% milk to create buttermilk, since I didn't have any on hand. You could also use white vinegar instead of lemon juice as an alternative. As for filling the donut cavities, I used a ziplock bag that I cut a slit into the corner to make it easier to evenly distribute the batter. In total, it made 12 mini donuts, but I had enough to make probably 14 mini donuts.
In terms of baking, it took only 13 minutes at 350F. As for making the chocolate glaze, this was one of my favourite parts of the recipe, as it was the perfect consistency, both thick and glossy that's perfect for dipping donuts. Overall, this recipe turned out really well and I hope you enjoy this twist on a standard household fruit! Enjoy :)
