Today I decided to make a new spin on a common household fruit, bananas, through making this delicious rendition of Banana Blondies. These are both quick and easy to make, but also provide a new twist on one of the most popular fruits. In terms of alterations, it took 28 min to bake in the oven and I used 3/4 cup of icing sugar in the frosting rather than 1 cup, as it was a bit sweet. I also decided to quicken the cooling process of the blondies by putting them in the freezer for 15 minutes before spreading the frosting on top. In addition, I used best brown sugar instead of light brown sugar, as I didn't have any at home at the time, which, fortunately, still worked out well. In terms of taste, I was a bit worried that it would end up a bit sweet, but fortunately my parents reassured me that it was just right! In terms of additions to spice it up, you could also add dried banana slices on top of each square, a large walnut, pecan, or even a strawberry slice or raspberry. This just gives it a bit of a more deluxe feel with a simple addition. Also, make sure to make the frosting about 5-10 min into the cooling time of the blondies, as it doesn't take too long to make, but you want it to be fresh as possible as you pour it over the blondies to set. Overall, I really enjoyed making this recipe and I hope you have fun making it :)
