Red Velvet Crinkle Cookies!

Happy Valentine's Day! Today I decided to make these cute and delicious Red Velvet Crinkle Cookies to celebrate! Whether you're celebrating with a loved one or on your own, these cookies will be sure to cheer you and others up. These cookies were a pleasant surprise for me to make, as I haven't made crinkle cookies in a while, but it was so satisfying to watch them in the oven. As they expand and grow through the dusted icing sugar to create the amazing effect! Making these cookies was pretty straightforward, which is why I love making cookies so much. Especially in times when you just want to bake and not have to think about it too much. A few modifications I made was that the cookies took about 16 minutes to bake in the oven, primarily because they were slightly larger than the original recipe, as I ended up making 15 cookies. Also, I only rolled them in the icing sugar once rather than two times, and I found that this was plenty sufficient to get the desired effect. The cookies had a delicious fudgy texture that my parents both really enjoyed, and they taste great with coffee, milk, or tea. Overall, I really enjoyed making these cookies and I hope you have fun baking them too! Happy baking :)
